How to create a new project
To create a new project you need to be a registered user. If you are not registered yet, go ahead and create an account as your first step. Click here to see how.
When you are a registered user you can go to your drive and navigate to ‘new project’ in the top left corner of your screen. Here you choose to create a new map project (for raster data) or a new shape project (for vector data). After choosing to create a map or shape project, you need to give it a unique name.
Now, you’re already done! The next thing to do is go to settings to upload content, create visualizations, and set permissions for the people you are sharing your project with.

Note: If you are working on something that requires you to activate and combine both vector data and raster data, or raster data with differing bands, you need to create a new project for each of these data types. Once these projects are created, you can import them for simultaneous visualization and use via the ‘Imported layers’ feature at the bottom left of the viewer. This modularity ensure that you can mix, match, and manage your content flexibly. To learn more about this, click here.
