4. Organize data across maps
Their are a few rules and best practices to keep in mind when uploading your spatial data to maps.
The diagram below helps you decide how to best organize your data across different maps in your drive.
πŸ“Œ Note: Access to your data is set at map level. As such, you can cluster content into the same map when the same access policy applies to all datasets that are included. Do keep in mind that in the case of raster data, datasets in the same map also need to be of the same type (meaning that they have the same resolution and the same number of bands). For vector data, this extra restriction does not apply.
If you require vector data and raster data (or raster data of different types) to be displayed at the same time, you need to create a new map for each data type. Once these maps are created, you can import them for simultaneous visualization in two clicks. To learn more about this, click here.
