πŸ”ŒIntegration with existing storage

Your Private Ellipsis Drive Instance can connect with your own file storage and/or databases. Each connection to such a storage medium will be presented as an Ellipsis Drive synced folder. Content within these storage media will be displayed as sub folders, layers and files.

Mind that Ellipsis Drive will automatically keep synced folders up to date with the connected storage medium. If content is added or removed in the original medium, it will be will be added/removed in the synced folder as well. This means that content in synced folders cannot be updated via the Ellipsis Drive API or interface and should instead be updated via the original storage medium. Synced folders are therefore read only from Ellipsis Drive.

The following storage media can be connected to Ellipsis Drive as synced folders:

  • Cloud buckets

  • PostgreSQL tables

  • mySQL tables

  • BigQuery tables

  • PostGIS tables

  • File server disks

Storage media can be connected via the UI by providing the correct address. Credentials should be stored on the account level before adding the storage medium in question. Credentials can be added via Manage account -> external connection keys. Click Add new key, pick the storage media you wish to mount and follow the steps in the wizard.
