πŸ“‚Use Ellipsis Drive to ingest client data

If you want to give your clients/users the possibility to bring their own datasets onto your platfrom for visualisation, data fusion, analytics etc., you can support this by connecting Ellipsis Drive to your app OR by fully white labelling Ellipsis Drive with your own UI/UX and hosting client/user data on your Ellipsis Drive account.

To host client/user data on your own account the steps to do this are as follows:

Step 1: create an Ellipsis Drive folder for each of your clients. Store the id of these folders on your backend so that you know which user has access to which folder(s).

Step 2: Whenever a user logs in to your app, create an access token for the folder in question. Make sure to pick an appropriate access level. Learn more about access levels here.

Step 3: Sent the token to your app and use the Ellipsis Drive API to perform relevant tasks. Relevant tasks often include displaying layers, listing folders and performing uploads.

Instead of integrating Ellipsis Drive with your backend, you can also choose to connect Ellipsis Drive to your app. More information on that can be found here. The advantage of connecting is that you can reuse more of the already established Ellipsis Drive UI.
