7. Upload raster files to a map
After creating a raster map (click here to see how) and navigating MAP SETTINGS, you can define a capture by clicking CREATE CAPTURE. Select a date, or date range, about which your raster file was created. By doing this, your raster data is given the correct timestamp.
Once the date (or date range) is selected, click CREATE. Now you can start uploading files that you want to associate with this newly created capture by clicking the UPLOAD icon.
Here, you need to select whether there is an ESPG code in the file, or if you want to specify one manually. If the ESPG is not specified in the file, choose SPECIFY and type the right code into the open space provided.
Now all that is left to do is to drop your file into the designated box. You may drop in any number of files (of the same type) before clicking UPLOAD at the bottom right.
Once your upload is complete, navigate back to the CAPTURES tab. Here you get a notification that you need to process the capture. Click PROCESS CAPTURE.
The PROCESS CAPTURE action pushes your upload(s) to processing. This is automatic, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the flight. It will like take 1 to 5 minutes to process the capture.
Once processing is done, your data is activated for use in Ellipsis Drive

! Click OPEN IN VIEWER at the top left of your screen to view your content.
Once the capture is processed, you can proceed to create the visualization.
NOTE: The EPSG code is required for a successful upload because it tells us what coordinate system your file is using. See epsg.io for more information on which code is applicable to your data.
